I just visit Columbia, day I

This week we have a special guest blogger: Krista Boisclair of Boston, Ma. Take it away Krista-

This is Krista
On day 1, we visited Edenton, NC (aka Dawson's Creek)....

Future location for Razzy's Edenton
We just sit by the water and drink beer out of coffee mugs...

That night we dressed in Pocosin's finest getting ready for a night at Goodtimes Tavern:

Notice Maura's fancy work boots
We made sure to obey the dress code...although I missed my Du Rag Cap

I just paint... and paint... and paint

New studio looks great.  We spent all day yesterday painting (minus a break for a blackberry cobbler bake off).  Only two more walls and two red doors to finish before the auction next week.  Don't forget to check out the catalogue!
Bruce, Marlene and Maura celebrating after a long day.
Freshly painted yellow wall.  And Maura's behind.

Blackberry cobbler bake off

When Jerry said his blackberry cobbler was the best, I did not believe him.  My mom has a great blueberry cobbler recipe that is really the best.  We decided to have a bake off.  Jerry supplied the blackberries and the Pocosin staff judged.  Using the recipe with blackberries did not work out as well but it still came out pretty good, a bit overcooked.

Unofficially I won.

A new awesome addition to my life

Lynsey Gwilliam just sent me this awesome quilt that she made.  It was a trade for some jewelry I made her.  Check out her blog. Yay Lynsey
It is hard to see but that grey spot is one of my old sweaters that I shrunk.  She used the part with the pocket.
If anyone else is interested in trading for lets say....money? let me know! :)

SOFA

This past weekend I was in Chicago for Sofa.  It was a great time and I saw lots of awesome art work. Also exciting to be in a real city for the first time in over 5 months.

First day I walked around.  It is really pretty but too cold!
Love the bean.  So does everyone else who goes there.

Lauren and Marc.  yeah high school.

Some of my favorite work at SOFA:

oh hai

i can haz these for eating?

I want one in my size please
As some of you know, I like working with steel.  So does Pat Flynn.  If you love me you would buy me on of his pieces.
I like the ring in the top left corner.  size 6 1/2.

He sprinkles gold dust on the iron.  So pretty.
